Foreword

📈

Density.

At Solidays, crowds aren't static: they breathe, move and concentrate. With over 65,000 festival-goers a day, managing gauges and sensitive areas becomes a vital issue. CORE provides the precision you need to stay in control.

👁️

Clear vision.

Every camera becomes an activatable source of information. Thanks to CORE, organizers have a real-time reading of flows, able to identify critical areas before they become problematic.

🔒

Security.

Real-time data offers additional reassurance. Rather than reacting in a hurry, the tool makes it possible to anticipate sensitive situations and adapt devices continuously, offering preventive crowd management.

The challenges.

Every day, Solidays welcomes over 65,000 festival-goers spread over 30 hectares, representing a major logistical and safety challenge. Audience density in front of stages and in strategic areas must be closely monitored to avoid any risk of overcrowding. The coordination of over 1,500 service providers and multiple teams adds a further layer of complexity, all the more so as infrastructures have to be set up and dismantled in just a few days.

The solution.

To meet these challenges, the organizers deployed XXII's CORE platform on some sixty video surveillance cameras. This system enables advanced counting using arches and intelligent cameras, in order to define gauges by zone and constantly monitor the festival's overall gauges. Real-time visualization of flows enables us to anticipate crowd movements and implement preventive measures.

Use cases.

Concrete uses for measurable results.

Case dusage-1-2

Dynamic gauges.

Definition of gauges by zone to adapt flow management and respect overall festival gauges.

Case dusage_ERP-3

Detection of high-risk areas.

Rapid identification of areas where density is becoming critical, enabling intervention before a situation degenerates.

Case dusage_PUBLIC-3

Optimizing traffic flow.

Improved traffic and evacuation plans thanks to real-time analysis of movements.

Case dusage_PUBLIC-4

Crowd movements.

Predictive analysis to avoid bottlenecks and better distribute festival-goers across the site.

Case_LOGISTIQUE-1

Centralized supervision.

A consolidated, live view in the cloud, accessible to security teams and organizers.

Cases dusage-13-2

Towards enhanced safety.

Experimentation to integrate simulation and fouloscopy scenarios to predict and manage flows.

We called on CORE after a process of reflection, mainly to better understand the circulation of festival-goers and thus improve safety and evacuation plans within the festival, which is effectively a sort of city in its own right.
